It is indeed funny to see the liberals try to 'take away" all that the Easter season means. Just another ploy by the liberals to try and supress Christ. Next you'll hear them say that Easter is no more real than the killing of Jews by the Germans during WW2. That's what Iran is saying already. That the Holycaust was nothing but a figment in somebodys imagination.

I am a Catholic. Other Catholics will understand what it is that I say. Way back, in 1917, I believe, Our Blessed Mother, (Jesus Christ's earthly mother) appeared to three children at a place called Fatima. She did do several times. On one occasion, she showed the children scenes of what would happen if the world did not turn back to Jesus, and away from sin. Those scenes depicted a world on fire from nuclear war, something that was not even thought about in that time. It has been almost 100 years since Mary warned the children at Fatima. I wonder just how much time Christ will give us before He decides we will not listen, and He destroys the world?

As long as this supposed "converted Muslim" in the White House is allowed to continue his teardown of America with his "executive orders", he will continue to do so. I have asked my Senator, and Congressman why is it that all they do is warm their seats, but, as expected, I have received no answer. Hopefully, the "silent majority" of decent citizens in this country will rise up at the polls next year, and snuff out this, excuse the expression, bull ***t
post Katrina. He stated that that was the New Orleans trash being washed out, and settling in our community. Don't get me wrong, I am not a racist. My Cardiologist is black, as well as more than one of my doctors. I trust my life to these wonderful people. But, again, the family unit is tantamount to success in raising a family., regardless of color. And, unless that issue is addressed, there will only be a worsening of the conditions existing today.
Add to that, the negative education that our children get at some of the "schools" they attend is a very big influence. More so than the "book" learning that they are supposed to be getting. It's so easy to "bond" with those at school, especially without a decent home life. The local sheriff stated on TV that those kids getting into trouble usually wind up in his office at around 12, or 13 years of age. When he asks them where they see themselves by age 18, the most prominent answer they give is, "In Jail, or Dead". That isn't much incentive to try to live a decent life. The district attorney gave a talk to our Parish Council, and other leaders of the community. He stated that our murder rate rose from 40 to 45 pre-Katrina, to 90 to 95
Larry, I want to personally say thanks for this article. At my age (75) I can truthfully say that I have seen much. And, I fully believe that the point in our history where both parents (if available) went to work, and the "latch key" generation began to evolve, is when the "family" began to fall apart. Women's Lib fostered the notion that a woman could do anything. Raising kids, running a home, and being president of a corporation, if she so wanted. They forget to tell her that all that was sure to drive her crazy as well. And then, as your article so correctly stated, the percentage of unmarried women having babies without the benefit of a husband has soared tremendously.
I second that motion. Might I add, "Semper Fi". That tell you something?

As one writer already wrote, "The problem is that the liberal media in this country is no better than the media in most other "controlled" countries. After all, that is the first issue in overcoming, and controlling the people. The other big issue is guns, and the "bobbleheads" squawking incessantly about total gun control as the salvation to this country's problems. This young girl rose above everything thrown at her, and became something in spite of it all. May she continue to excel in all her undertakings. And, as Chuck, and his mom reminded us, "May God continue to lead her"

Blah,b-b-blah,b-b blah, b-b blah,blah,blah.
It got worse after Katrina. Cops, including the Captain, of an outside police force, supposedly there to "help" were caught red-handed with dozens of leather jackets that were taken, not from the robber in the street, but from the store that had them displayed. Now, is that today's police officer? In too many cases, the answer is yes. And, you wonder why people want guns to protect themselves? The guns taken away in New Orleans have still not been returned. Police say that anyone claiming a weapon has to have "proof" that it is his, and has to be fingerprinted, and the weapon registered before it will be returned. Sound familiar? Sen. Harry Reid?.
