Most in MA pay anywhere from 10-40% of premiums and most teachers pay 11% to pension.

YOur are straining to the point of lying. They are not talking about surviving YET. They are continuing to strive for luxury. But the result of their action will be the bankruptcy of their school dist. just like is happening all over California. Then, THEN they will be looking at trying to survive. And with the government diving for insolvency, there will be NO ONE to rescue them, except maybe some Christians who will share and thereby suffer themselves. But the teachers will have no gratitude. Right! "They" are not "TALKING" about surviving, but that is what they are trying to do.
More and more school districts are holding union contract negotiations in full view of the public.

That positive development allows taxpayers - those people footing the bill for the giveaways authorized by the board - to learn where their money goes and why. By witnessing the process they can form their own opinions, free of the media filter and union spin.

The unions have never liked this idea, and apparently have found a way to get around it: Arrange to have union members and supporters take all the seats reserved for the public. That will leave John...
