And we continue to kiss their fannies for the privilege of oil at around a hundred dollars a barrel.

YUP! And while a little off topic, we could have THAT problem (and a few others like unemployment and consequently our economy) solved in not too many months if we started DRILLING right here on our own soil.

Please tell me how we could solve all of these problems by drilling on our own soil? I'm curious...

We can drill until we are red in the face and it won't appreciably change the global price of oil--but it will cost us money in refinement and deplete our reserves. There just isn't a practical reason to do domestic drilling with the cheap sources that we have now to purchase it on the open market.

If it won't affect the price at the pump, how will drilling on our own soil solve all of these problems?

I don't remember if it was Chesterfan or Jason, last night, who said the best way we can make them irrelevance, is to Drill, Drill, Drill here in the U.S. while we work towards other types of affordable, and not government-mandated energy sources.

It won't solve the problem for Saudi women, but it will reduce our dependence on their oil.

Now, there appears to be a new development in controlling the movements of its female population: the Kingdom has reportedly introduced an electronic tracking system alerting male guardians when a woman has left the country.

Reports emerged of the system last week when Manal al-Sherif, a women’s rights campaigner who has urged women to defy the driving ban, was alerted by...
