"............The payroll tax just went up by 2 percent for every American who draws a paycheck...." Are you left or right? Quit distorting things. The SS tax break expired and the tax went back to where it should be. I get mad enough trying to deal with liberal lies. Now the right is lying and deceiving just like the commies. Knock it off.

Soooooooo to use your logic, ALL Bush tax cuts should have been allowed to expire as well. The middle class could then for real say it is paying its fair share.

So let me get this straight . . . When Obama lets the bush tax cuts expire, (as they were scheduled to do) he gives himself credit for "Raising taxes on millionaires", but when he lets his SS tax reduction expire, (as it was scheduled to do) it is not a tax increase . . . can you really be that stupid?

Yes, he/she can really be that stupid. Obama care has a myriad of taxes that will affect middle and lower class earners, let alone the purposeful approach of raising private insurance premiums with the intent to create a government run one payor approach. But, remember, over 50% of exit polls showed that people still blame Bush for just about every ill known to man, including the common cold.

EVERY increase in taxes regardless of where they are collected will ulitmately fall on the middle "working" class. The upper income earners will simply adjust their life styles and cut out spending in areas that are typical middle income jobs, i.e. lawn care, beauty salons, dining out, remodeling homes etc etc etc....It is the small business and middle income earners who will feel that pinch FIRST by loss of income due to cut backs by the upper income earners. They didn't get wealthy by being stupid, and they will ALWAYS adjust to maintain their profit margins and discretionaly incomes.

What is it with this administration -- a general envy and resentment of success ("You didn't build that!") or just a general incompetence at anything to do with basic economics? Like the old and bitter truth that the surest way to make something scarcer is to tax it.

The administration's latest victim is the American medical-device industry -- the people who make everything from body-scanning...
