Is Anybody Surprised that Krugman Was Wrong about U.K. Fiscal Policy?

Krugman may have a sharp tongue and be a bit of a jerk, but he cares about the less fortunate. I sometimes get the feeling that Townhall readers would let a poor person starve.

Actually, it is quite certain that YOU would gleefully let a poor person starve before any of the bulk of Townhall readers would. It is precisely your agenda. As is celra to everyone with a brain AND a heart, pursuing policies (like YOU do) that keep far more people in poverty is far more likely to result in there being poor people in the first place and thuse substantially increasing the likelihood of someone starving. Likewise, by pursuing government solutions you ensure that there will be far less of the enormously more effective private charity to help them.

So, why do YOU so despeartely want people to starve? Or are you just stupid?

He cares about nobody but Krugman, but like a lot of dishonest political demagogues he justifies self serving positions in the name of the poor. One has to be profoundly naive to believe such nonsense, or too ignorant to know the implications of what they say.

Your use of the word "fortunate" clearly shows that you see "self" supporting people as just " lucky" and they did not earn what they have by working for it . Obama hates to use the word "earn" also.

How do you know what he cares about? Have you seen his charitable giving report, or watched him work in a soup kitchen? Does he hand out $100 bils on the street? Town Hall readers would feed a starving person out of their own pantries and then help that person look for a job so they could feed themselves.

Thank you for saying what I have observed over the years like the BSA filling up the food pantry in our area every six months.

A liberal with a "warmheart" and no brains of feces for brains, not sure which.

Just like in the United States, politicians in the United Kingdom use the deceptive practice of “baseline budgeting” as part of fiscal policy.

This means the politicians can increase spending, but simultaneously claim they are cutting spending because the budget could have expanded at an even faster pace.

Sort of like saying your diet is successful because you’re only gaining two pounds a week rather...
