How Government Handouts Create Life-Sapping Dependency

What you conservatives don't understand is that you can't punish Ms. Cogan without simultaneously punishing her children. If you're going to be pro-familiy, taking care of the kids should be the top priority.

So, punishing people is what the it's all about? Then, we have a problem.

Ms. Cogan IS a mooch. Most Americans on welfare programs today aren't mooches and would prefer to earn their own money. The problem is Obama has destroyed too many industries leaving people without the ability to get work. People like Ms Cogan make small minded people believe that everyone is like her. Obama is currently 1.6million jobs short since taking office, he was the first President to finish a term with a loss of jobs since beginning the term.

He was also the first American to be officially born an "African American"... he was 10 years old before "African American" began showing on birth certificates, except his of course...

Yep, it's (all together now, bleeding-heart, do-gooder liberals) "FOR THE CHILDREN."

Of course, if one is too profoundly ignorant to recognize that the libbie handout way (funded, of course, by others, and benefitting libbies with perpetual votes of the dependent) CREATES more children in dire straits, then one is really too dumb to breathe.

Thanks, BozowithaBullhorn, for making this clear.

Just how many wives and children should I afford the governor?

If Ms. Cogan comes to me for assistance, I can decide how to help her. If she goes to the government for assistance, other people will decide how to help her - with my money.

Charity = Voluntary
Welfare = Theft

You must be in the same boat with Ms Cogan. I wonder how she got those kids. Where is the father? Is this the way how you live? Put responsibility on others who had the dignity of life earning for a living? There are so many crooks out there like you!
binc Wrote: Feb 08, 2013 7:32 AM
You seem to be a very caring person or are you just another leftist hypocrite? How much do you give to charity? Let the lies commence.
Snarkasterous1 Wrote: Feb 08, 2013 5:55 PM
Whoa, binc, hang on there!

Liberals are morally superior because of the sacrifices they're willing for YOU to make. You don't actually expect the perpetually-preening, highly-nuanced, moral titans to actually CONTRIBUTE, as well, do you?

Really- what an absurd thought!

Guy, what you don't understand is that rewarding folks like Ms. Cogan with a comfortable lifestyle quickly leads to more and more Cogans, more and more kids which their own family can't take care of. We are now watching the results, as fewer and fewer people are contributing to prosperity, and more and more choose the Cogan role. You can not reward the Cogans without punishing the worker bees and their kids. You are watching the results in our economy right now. Confiscatory taxes and insane borrowing in attempts to create equality of outcome have led to misery and chaos wherever and whenever tried.

Thanks, Pistol. I was just about to write the same thing. On top of that, the Cogans of this world will then teach their children how to follow in their footsteps. It's just a cycle of dependency and laziness handed down from generation to generation. I don't ask Ms. Cogan to feed and clothe my kids. She needs to grow up and be a responsible adult. As a parent, I alone am responsible for my children.

My responsibility is not her kids but my family. Let her get another job to pay her bills or keep her legs shut.
Arc-em Wrote: Feb 08, 2013 6:10 AM
That's right. Why do I have to take care of my family and someone else's? Guywithaheart, you do it..........I'm a guy with a brain.
Whoknows Wrote: Feb 08, 2013 7:14 AM
You forgot to mention he is an idiot, if he thinks taking care of her kids means anything to her. The kids are just a means to get more free stuff and I am betting the kids will never grow up and consider going to work.

Remember Julia, the mythical moocher created by the Obama campaign to show the joys of government dependency? As illustrated by this Ramirez cartoon, Julia symbolizes the entitlement mentality.

Unfortunately, there are many real-life Julias.

I wrote a couple of years ago about Olga, a Greek woman who petulantly believed that government was responsible for her empty life.

But we don’t know any details about Olga other than her desire to mooch, so the best...
