I can't get around the private police thing yet. I'm more of a Libertarian with paleo tendencies (abortion and borders specifically). I understand the other aspects of course. Except for Neo Classical Liberalism. That baffles me.

The "American Experiment" is failing because of political parties. As designed, public servants of disparate ideologies representing specific populations came together to represent their different views. The VP used to be the person with the second most votes for Prez. Now, two converging ideologies in the form of political parties controll all three branches, which was not the design. Outlaw political parties, collusion between districts, and career politicians, and the whole works as it was designed. Career pols and their lust for power will not abide the limitations and term limits. After the inevitable revolution, that is the way to fix it.

Can't argue w/that too much.

But there is a REASON the "American Experiment" failed...and that reason is the EXISTENCE of political power.

The good news for Obama admirers?  He's back at 51 percent overall approval in this survey -- as opposed to quite a lot of early 2013 polling.  The bad news?  His approval rating is upside down on virtually every major issue:

Economy: 44% Approve, 54% Disapprove

Federal Budget Deficit: 38% Approve, 58% Disapprove

Taxes: 46% Approve, 52% Disapprove

Illegal Immigration: 44% Approve, 50% Disapprove

Gun Policy: 45% Approve, 52% Disapprove

Health care policy: 44% Approve, 54% Disapprove
