Exactly. The Boy Scouts frowned on intolerance. They taught us to be friendly and kind to others. There was no caveat that we had to be friendly and kind to any particular religion, or only to any particular race, or to make vile remarks about any one at any time. I also aggree with "Jack Wrote" (8:09 AM) when he says that the problem with us here in America is irresponsible and unbridled freedoms without respect. It's those idiots who claim that the BSA is intolerant to gays when it isn't so much intolerance as it is wise to follow the teachings of our religion.
At the same time as our Christian values are being dissed, Muslim values are being touted by the liberals. I find this trend disturbing and interesting at the same time. Muslims demand separate rooms in school so the Muslim students can lay out their praryer rugs and pray to Mecca however many times a day they do that. Muslim females are allowed to cover their faces even when they walk into a bank or a convenience store. I don't need to elaborate on that statement do I? Our liberal "friends" are bending over backwards and jumping through hoops to satisfy the capricious whims of Muslims while Christians and Jews must suffer the slings and arrows of injustice. To quote that great philosopher Jimmy Durante, “Why can't everybody leave...

How Big Should Government Be?

As Tallman says, a smaller government presupposes a good people. John Adams said, "Our Constitution was made for only a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." It is we the people who elect these "bad" people to government because we are mostly an ignorant, undereducated people. We have turned elections into a popularity contest, to wit, Obama as president. What a joke!

Oops, you forgot a centralized banking system where the government controls the interest rates and decides who gets preferential treatment.

I think that you along with several others have missed the point of the article. It is because of the few bad apples that the majority of have to live under a govenment that s more intrusive than we are comfortable with. A relatively small number of people almost burned down Detroit and Los Angeles back in the 60's. Giving people like these more freedom would be a big mistake. LBJ's Great Society has created a monster that we may never rid ourselves of. Adding to the size of that monster is the porous Southern border. The monster is the reason our freedoms have been and will continue to be restricted. In a free society, we can't pick and choose who gets more freedom and who gets less, therefore, we must all suffer the consequences of...

This article points out that smaller government is not necessarily a good thing, and the reasoning behind that statement is sound. It explains a lot on how our government has grown so much. It is because a comparatively few individuals cannot live in society as productive members and demand social programs that the rest of must bear the yoke of heavy government involvement in our daily lives. It explains, to me, at least, why more freedoms would only create chaos in today's environment. We allow the ignorant to vote and the ignorant apparently outnumber the rest of us which accounts for Obama's being in the Oval Orifice. Making matterws worse, is the fact that we do not demand Congress and the president obey our own laws and to abide by...

To the Obamanists waging class warfare on America, anyone earning more than a dollar than you is considered "rich." Now Obama is saying to us, "Well, it seemed like a good thing to do at the time." Mr. President, some silly parlor game that you played in Chicago as a community organizer, and it certainly isn't an experiment in socialism that you can gamble the lives of millions away. You TWIT! There, now that I've broken my exclamation point button, I hope you're happy///
Only those with enough sophisticated insight into how Obama speaks can detect that he may actually actually eating his words; or maybe not. He does it in such a way as to make it look like that he's the victim of the "Party of No." What's this bull puckey about him saying he was held hostage by the right wing and was forced to compromise on Bush Tax Cuts one side of his mouth, and on the other he says that cutting taxes at this time would hurt the economy? He's not eating his words, he trying to eat his cake and have it too.

You know, I never understood the libtards' hatred of GW. He was their best ally. He spent like a drunken liberal who had just won the powerball lottery, opened our Southern borders to illegal aliens, and extended welfare to millions more people. The man was a Godsend to the liberals and they crucified him. This only goes to prove to me that libtards live in a parallel universe where they listen to some kind of voice from the mothership.
