Ethan Allen at Ft. Ticonderoga, May 10, 1775. Been there, great place to visit. Just down the road is Rogers' Island, which was recently purchased as a park. That's where Robert Rogers (portrayed by Spencer Tracy in "Northwest Passage") started on his journey to the St. Francis Indian village in Canada, which he leveled. Rangers Lead the Way! And all this information is deliberately kept from public view by a man who 'wrote' (let's not get into that area ;-))) ) TWO autobiographies before age 48???

I have to agree with others who commented on the lack of forthrightness on Obama's part: what is he hiding? A foreign BC could be damning and create a major constitutional crisis; it would discredit the Secretaries of State of the several states who failed to verify eligibility; it turns a nasty spotlight on the Democrats in the Senate who should have seen the necessary proof; any BC might reveal another man as the putative sperm donor.

It is easily resolvable, so why hasn't the action been taken?

I read this in my misspent youth. Seemed like a boondoggle then and now. But a good read as High Victorian romance.

ROLFLMAO My skills are a bit out of date (1969-75 active duty artillery), but my middle son is an Infantryman with three tours in Iraq with the 1st Cav who's bunking with me between assignments. He can update me quickly.

My Garand works fine and I do have a few bandoleers full.
Roger, the Beiruit attack happened on Reagan's watch; the guard was not allowed to load his weapon or fire, due to someone's policy, but i don't know/remember whose.

For stopping speeding vehicles, I prefer banks of claymores while I hunker down behind several layers of cover with hearing protection. :-)))
Slightly knew a girl while in college, whose father was in the Red Army during WWII. Her story is that when he got to the Elbe River, he kept going and linked up with the Americans.

The call of freedom is very strong.

One of the best discussions on an interesting subject I've seen on Townhall. Thank you for your comments!

BTW Rowdy, it's spelled schmuck; proper use of Yiddish is always encouraged ;-)))

the t: my youngest was 4 when we took my NJARNG M14 (I was State Marksmanship Coordinator and a member of the NJNG Rifle Team at the time) to a little range with his older brothers (7 and 10 at the time). Each fired the rifle, with me as the additional recoiling mass, with no gap between them and the buttstock. Youngest's eye were VERY WIDE OPEN after squeezing off a round, but asked to do it again two minutes later. Bigger boys fired by themselves (Dad being right there to make sure muzzle didn't go elsewhere) and loved it. BTW the youngest is now 30.

And do you know one of the most popular items sold in the UK is? BASEBALL BATS. Guess who uses them and for what.

Re: the Schafly column.

Ever read any of Jerry Pournelle's "Codominium/ Falkenberg's Legion" stories/novels? In the US, a small group is identified as "Taxpayer" to distinguish them from the large bulk of the populace. The parallels are starting to worry me.
