George Washington's first cabinet had four departments, State, Justice, Treasury, and War (defense). Today there are 17 cabinet level departments. They manage everything from high school curricular to saving spotted owls to sacrificing diplomats and other American citizens. Look at Benghazi. No one seemed to know who did what--neither the President nor the Sec of State nor the Sec of Defense nor the CIA. If government is too large to be managed then it must be too big. It's time to break it apart like old AT&T.
