I believe the greatest stumbling block to that idea (an idea whose time indeed has come) is Mr. Obama. That we import energy is ridiculous. The U.S. should be positioning itself to be a net exporter of oil, gas, and coal, supplying all our own needs first.

The House of Representatives today will vote to freeze the pay of federal employees, which would extend a policy that President Obama wants to put to an end. Obama is seeking a pay increase for federal workers.
