I don't generally read Saunders's columns, but I have heard her interviewed a few times on SF's KSFO, and in those instances she seems to be a solid, clear-eyed, rock-ribbed conservative. Unfortunately, in this column, she sounds more like a preening, elitist, bipartisanship-fetishizing, moderation-seeking liberal. I can only hope she gets out of San Francisco for a few weeks.
