4. Stand up against radical assault on freedom of speech, religion, and tradition (a sheeple, demoralized society, where nothing is deemed absolute, constitutes a very fertile ground for all kinds of extremists).

To date, Islam has done much less damage to Europe or America than lack of moral compass has done. Consider costs of homosexuality alone. Americans have many more reasons to fear destructive forces within their own society than any external "enemy", such as Islam.
Obama, a puppet of communists and radical homosexuals, is doing more damage to the U.S. than Islam could ever aspire to do. Fox News happens to be one of the more balanced and objective news organizations we have. Perhaps it has a pro-Islam bias. So what? We must support organizations which have the courage and wisdom to counter anti-religious and anti-family forces in our society. If we don't, our children and grandchildren will pay the price.

Mr. Thomas' piece is sloppy at best. He appears to have confused stupidity with free speech. You can object to Phelps' stupidity because of his tasteless choice of venue, but you cannot claim that what he says is unprotected speech.

In addition to being protected, Phelps' speech may not be very far from the truth. There is something singularly satanic about homosexuality and homosexual radical movement. I personally doubted the existence of Satan until I got a glimpse of a Homosexual "Pride" Parade.
