The video indicates that the detail got sucked into tunnel vision focus on Mr. Mattera. On the video, it appears Mr. Mattera initiated physical contact. Following Mr. Mattera for some distance from the scene is ridiculous, depletes the detail and draws exactly the attention we have here. I suspect that there were fixed position cameras recording the incident. If the officer needed to identify Mr. Mattera, there are ways to do that without a street chase and intimidation. Outside the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Washington, DC, senior Talk Radio Network investigative reporter Jason Mattera asked New York City’s Mayor Bloomberg a simple question:

“In the spirit of gun control, will you disarm your entire security team?”

Mayor Bloomberg, a strong advocate for gun control, replied: “Uh, you, we’ll get right back to you.”
