Obama's Crisis is GOP's Opportunity

Lord Acton warns us of "Absolute Power" and it's subtle tendency to "... Corrupt Absolutely" - and the Democrats are fully in the throes of that "Passion Play" as they scramble to enact their Orwellian version of utopia amid the rising chorus of the disenfranchised within their own ranks. The Democrats are cutting deals in the dead of night with the slimiest of the K and J Street hucksters - with no thought or concern as to how these Faustian deals will affect ordinary Americans. To the Progressives we are only the yammering masses who must be herded towards “The Road to Serfdom”.  Their Progressive ideology is pre-empting the essence of what has made America a giant amongst nations - and yet they dismiss the vision of our Founding...
We are all so easily offended by things of minor consequence that it seems to foster an even greater capacity for intolerance. One needs only to delve into the underpinnings of today's Pop Culture to find examples at every turn. We've seen it for 50 years on our television; we listen to it daily in much of our music; our children seem to adapt it with greater effect every generation, and technology seems to find new ways to elevate the consequences of every confrontation. It seems like we all move toward the inevitable conclusion of some predetermined script; a strike reflex still resident at some instinctive depth of our psyche - "pushing the button" that sends each of us rushing headlong into conflict.

It would seem to be a...

Bravo Michelle! We all know the progressives inability to be forthright with the numbers. It's antithetical for a progressive to let the facts speak for themselves. They always have to get in there and massage the data to produce their fuzzy math. I'll use just 3 as examples; the gained or saved 250,000 jobs/week according to Christine Rohmer, Al Gore's CO2 drives warming lie or the 47 million uninsured hype and now Garson's 44,000 memorial to the dead. I could go on... but I would be here all night.

Grayson must be in trouble deep with his Florida constituents, if all he can do his pull these ridiculous stunts. I guess a campaign based on substance and the issues is out of his league. How Sad for him!!!

Credit Where Credit Isn't Due

How pathetic and blatantly hypocritical that Biden is trying to claim for this administration, the credit for the strategic and tactical successes in Iraq, when it so plainly belongs to the previous Administration. It speaks volumes to the character of an administration, that is so desperate for a 'W', that it feels it is imperative to claim a strategy that it so vociferously OPPOSED as ITS OWN. The intellectual dishonesty is breath-taking and it clearly demonstrates the lack of credibility and the narcissism constantly on display from this administration. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised at the Democrat's penchant for political expediency however, as it seems to be about the only thing they do well -- 'putting all things political...

Obama's Tough Talk Is a Real Kick

There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for the Administration's "Late to the Party" Response while the entire Gulf Coastline was being inundated with Oil and the residents were pleading for some urgency and containment from the Administration.

It is apparent that Obama's response to this crisis and quite probably any crisis is to have another meeting, create more red-tape and then get bogged down in the optics of the response.

If the President ever wanted to avoid being the "Poster-Child" for "What Not to Do" in a crisis - all he has to do is watch his own video over the past 52 days.

Mr. President... YOUR RESPONSE HAS BEEN MUCH TOO LITTLE AND MUCH TOO LATE!!!

To flaunt their recent agreement to supply enriched uranium to Iran with new-found South American ally Brazil, Turkey has demonstrated a clear alliance with a rogue nuclear proliferator that runs counter to the United Nation's mandate through the IAEA.

In posing for the recent photo-op with Iranian demagogue Ahmadinejad, Turkey has extinguished its opportunity to associate itself with the more progressive nations of the globe, and cast it's lot with a regime that would drag the entire world backwards into the crucible of conflict.

Turkey would do well to consider the ramifications of their recent actions, specifically in light of what will inevitably become a much more assertive American Foreign Policy stance under a...
The partisan rhetoric coming from this WH further confirms that this administration has both the arrogance and mentality of the B-List personalities of Hollywood. For the administration to single out the dissenting opinions of cable channels and hosts, or to "call out" those who disagree on policy, while the president and his spokespeople are out there obscuring the facts, telling half-truths and making false statements themselves is the height of hypocrisy. This administration is very thin-skinned and reacts exactly like the "crybabies" Chris Wallace exposed them to be. There is a distinct absence of class from the likes of Gibb and Dunn; the main players are too caught up in their quest for power, and now that they have it, they don't...

Ok! Contrition... I will buy some of that... and I also believe in redemption, but let's not get masochistic. All things in moderation. The main message needs to concentrate on fiscal responsibility. This is a door that the Democrats have left wide open - and it requires a forthright approach.

The GOP needs to tap into the Tea Party Patriots' message of fiscal responsibility above all else. It can be done through the critical and necessary process of promising spending cuts across the board in conjunction with moderate tax cuts for middle America and tax incentives for all businesses on new hires.

Don't be afraid to speak the hard truths of unsustainable budget deficits. America knows a household cannot spend more money...

Obama's Climate of Fear

I can only trust that the American people can see and feel the invasive reach of the current administration. Over the next 3 1/2 years we are going to see an increasing level of intervention in all aspects of our lives, and I hope that in the future, a multitude of voices will continue to document the true nature of this administration. We have have seen this style of government before and like a phoenix it has risen from the ashes to exercise its control over what was once the most vibrant nation in the world. It claims justification for its actions in the name of compassion; it heralds a new day in the name of masses; it flexes its muscles in the name of angry indignation for opportunities not taken and it blames everyone but itself...

In this administration's zeal to pass the most flawed and transparently corrupt piece of legislation in modern history, the Democratic leadership has failed to recognize the anger that the American electorate is manifesting at their arrogance and blatant disregard for the ‘Will of the People’.

The Democratic leadership has crossed a threshold and now they own the resentment of a disenfranchised electorate. It is a watershed that  was demonstrated at the polls in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts and it will become the legacy of the Democratic party for years to come.
