How Mitt Romney Won My Vote

The basic problem with the system we have right now is that it divests future generations of their sovereignty. We are making debt slaves of future generations (and if you include college students, some current ones). This strips them of rights to property in themselves and their right to pursue happiness, which are unalienable. That last word means that if you do alienate those rights, even for yourself, you have sinned against God and Man. This is our moral failing. This is what Mitt meant.

We all agree that Greg1084 has stated eloquently, succinctly and precisely enough that even a Dem/Prog/Lib cabal member might be able to comprehend its' beauty.

It should be noted that Tom Sowell pointed this out many years ago regarding politician's promises vs. owning up to their consequences many years later.....just sayin'.....these aren't new ideas.

Back in May of 1999, I made a decision to leave the Democratic Party. It was an easy decision. I had been a Democrat for 11 years. I voted for Dukakis when I was a committed leftist. But, later, when I became a pro-life conservative, there was no room for me in the party. So I became a Republican and also joined the NRA. I've been a straight shooter ever since. Excuse me if that last line sounded heterosexist. I’m a work in regress....
