If one dares challenge the orthodoxy of the Left, you are a racist and a fascist. If you have the audacity to challenge the doctrines of the Right, you are a terrorist and a communist. The terms differ, but the intellectual dishonesty is similar.

My interest was piqued recently when I encountered at Townhall.com the title of Kurt Schlichter’s article: “Let’s Help Academia Destroy Itself.” The author, a self-described conservative, levels a visceral assault against the university.
