The biggest travesty of this was that it barred US health care companies from free trade with Canadian drugs. This makes drugs in the US more expensive for the consumer. That was a Republican policy implemented as a favor to their corporate masters.

Positively revolutionary!! :P " The American revolution was in response to collusion between the English Monarchy and the East India Trading corporation which the colonists thought put UNFAIR (there's the word) financial pressure on them.. Had the modern, ludicrously named TEA party been present at the time, they would have defended the rights of the East India Trading corporation to extract a profit from their customers.
