In response to:

How Republicans Can Find Themselves

During the primary, the thing that impressed me most about Ron Paul (other than the fact that I read his books and speeches) was that he was being called the same names the Republican establishment called Barry Goldwater: “Nut case” and “extremist” — Goldwater didn’t think we should get involved in Vietnam and he said Social Security needed to be fixed.

And by the exact same people, Grant.

The position he held the republicans hated the most was non-interventionism, which is a long time conservative view. They called Paul an isolationist because he thought we should not interfere militarily in the affairs of sovereign nations, unless congress first declared war. Republicans have moved way left of the democrats on foreign affairs.

Very true.

The GOP actually "booed" the Golden Rule. They booed Jesus.

The GOP deserved to lose.

True - the GOP used to be for what they now call isolationism. They saw getting involved in chasing monsters around the world as as waste of taxpayer money, a waste of our soldier's lives and limbs, and a way to generate more enemies and blowback.

Obama's been trying to cover up the Benghazi incident. After all, there are many angry Ghadaffi patrons in Libya, and they want revenge (something you won't hear from Obama or RINOs). Only Paul had the integrity to call 9/11 the blowback it was.

Yep the GOP was isolationist all during the 30s and 40s when the won exactly 0 presidential elections. 20 years not winning. 1932-1952, so how did that isolationism work out.

Soul-searching is not in the GOP’s blood. Many Republicans see themselves as stoic, rugged and hardworking individuals. But after twice losing the White House to an ex-community organizer and failing to mobilize the base, Republicans need to take a trip to a mountainous valley, sip some tea and meditate.

In the quiet of nature, I think Republicans would find that the solutions to winning lie within themselves. After my own reflection, I developed three key insights into how the GOP can win presidential elections going forward:

#1 Keep an open mind

Early on, talking heads like Ann Coulter disparaged Romney...
