I don’t care who’s President, the sweetest sound that can ever come out of Washington is “legislative roadblock.”
Mr. Schlichter is right. The GOP is headed down the garden path to socialism hand-in-hand with the Democrats. The two Parties are not debating direction, only velocity. The Tea Party ‘radicals" want the debate to be about direction and that freaks-out the neo-cons. Perhaps it is time for military/industrial ideologues to merge into one Big-Government Party with collectivist/welfare-state ideologues, and make room for a new Party with a small-government/free-market ideology.

Surveillance Cameras Are Not All That

A surveillance camera only limits ones freedom to break the law (or, perhaps a contract or agreement) with impunity. If it’s freedom you want, get rid of the laws and avoid contractual obligations that are objectionable; why the cameras?
A welfare state will eventually have a problem with every poor person who tries to enter and every rich person who tries to leave. Answer: get rid of the welfare state – then the only legitimate reason to enter the country would be to work. That would only require some legal process with a time limit and/or path to citizenship.

Central Banks Clipping Coins

Wasn’t coin clipping a form of theft? Isn’t devaluing our paper currency also a form of theft?. No wonder our government doesn’t want kids to read the Bible in school . . . get radicle ideas that all political law is not moral.

The Pope and Godless Capitalism

Sure, Pat, we need higher tariffs - - because consumers want to pay $20 for a shirt instead of $100. Consumers pay tariffs, Pat. Tell the Pope to talk to consumers . . . we are the real “greedy capitalists.”
No surprised to learn that Bill Clinton was happy with the “news.” It means less competition for him.

Is Thinking Obsolete?

In the “marketplace of ideas” moral concepts like: you shall not murder, steal or lie should hold a “monopoly” position in common law practice and not allowed to be compromised by political law. That's my humble opinion -- in the marketplace of ideas, of course.

When Obamacare ultimately “progresses” to the one-payer plan Obama really wanted - socialized medicine - Obamacare may start looking better.
