Romney wasn't a good candidate because of the underestimated Mormon objections, and his history of changing his stance on so many things. The Republicans have not promoted a strong candidate for some years now. It's overtime to get rid of the "earned the right to run" idea which could, Heaven Forbid! let John Boehner become the next Presidential Republican candidate. There are many other reasons Romney was not a good candidate, but this suffices. He is a good man, and certainly has the Presidential aura. However, many like I felt he would be too conciliatory with such a far-left Progressive opposition party. We voted for him but were unenthusiastic....sorry Ann!

You're exactly right about the "right to run" notion. I remember being at my caucuses in 1996 (Iowa Caucuses) and one after another person that I met kept supporting Dole, because after decades in the party, he had earned it.

Small minds always leap to the answers given the last time around, which is probably why Maxine Waters keeps getting re-elected. But the last time is not necessarily the same as this time. A terrorist attack is not the same as the Cold War, a war in Afghanistan is not the same as a war in Iraq, and Mitt Romney is not the same as John McCain or Bob Dole.
