Sorry, I think Dr. Gates is guilty of "chip on shoulder syndrome." Some of his earlier comments would seem to support that view. I agree that sometimes the police are, as well...but why not just respond civilly to the officer (who is required to verify that no one is in the house FORCING Dr. Gates to respond that everything is fine)...it seems to me that Dr. Gates ramped up the exchange. Perhaps he shouldn't have been arrested, but his behavior wasn't what I would expect from a Harvard academic, either.

Megan McCain is to be pitied...in spite of all the advantages she has had in her life, she has been unable to overcome her "Valley Girl" accent and her desire to be accepted and cool, as defined by the left. When I see her on a show, I change the channel.

Repetiton for the sake of emphasis...Dr. Adams is making his point about all the types of intolerant people he has encountered. Doesn't make for entertaining reading after yesterday's column, but we get the point....uh, don't we?

Dr. Adams is to be commended for illustrating the clear double standard in our culture and in most universities:
tolerance is required only for issues and causes which are liberal (NOT "progressive"--a word misapplied to the liberal cause)..no Christian or conservative can ever expect to receive tolerance from those who scream for it the most...and the media is complicit in this hypocrisy.
