The establishment part of the party will allow the conservative to have a seat as long as they hold the reins nationally. The establishment doesn't think a conservative can win nationally, and they don't think conservatives can win in most locations, either. As long as money comes in from conservatives FOR conservatives, the conservative candidate will be *allowed* to run. But as soon as the establishment candidate pulls more money, or as soon as the GOP decides the conservative candidate can't win, watch how fast conservatives and their candidates are thrown to the curb.

The GOP wants to win, and they don't care about conservative values. They care about winning, and there are not enough voters who share the right values...
78% of the country may *IDENTIFY* as Christian, but you can bet your giftcard the vast majority have no clue what it means to be Christian. Conservatives better not soothe themselves with the idea that these so-called Christians understand Christianity or the required political values of a Christian. They have no clue, that's why we have a problem with values in this country. That's why our politics are a mess, and that's why they will stay a mess unless and until people learn to share and accept the correct values. Victory will not come via complaining about the MSM, Democrats, schools, feminists, et al, but rather from confronting and conforming EVERYONE in this country. We need to CONFRONT EVERYONE who is not living and voting...

Society's Overlooked Hidden Costs

A friend of mine was a security official for dealerships. In order to crack and organized theft ring, the security team and law enforcement went undercover at the dealership. One weekend night after midnight, the team arrived to steal 5 cars. Several were stopped before they got off the lot, and all but one was caught out on the road. One got away, but they got the car back. The ring was run by organized crime, and they still threatened to kill the security team, their families, AND the law enforcement officers and their families!

Don't discount part time employees. We are loyal, too, and we don't steal.

Our Big Mistake

Cal made one cogent point, however. He noted the biggest issue of our time, I believe. In this country, we suffer from a lack of agreeement regarding values. If more Americans shared traditional values, we wouldn't be in this position politically. We can't blame the schools, the churches, the media, or the universities. Voters have the same access to information as the rest of the posters on this board. Voters just don't want the same thing, and until the voter accepts personal responsibility for his or her own life and votes accordingly, we are in big trouble in this country. We might win any given election, but the overall trend will be problematic and frightening. We need to find a way to change the voter values in this...

McChrystal No Loss for Conservatives

Don't assume people are smart enough to vote against the Democrats and Obama in 2010 and beyond. There are folks who like that unemployment check, like the freebies, and will continue to vote for the Dems. If we don't go out and work everyday during our daily activities to convince and support others to vote correctly, we very well may have Dems in 2010 and Obama in 2012. There are people who might not like the Dems, but will certainly not accept the platform of Republicans and conservatives because those positions require self reliance and hard work. Don't be lulled into thinking the voters who supported Obama will suddenly have a change of heart en masse. Most of these folks won't vote conservative, tea party or republican, no...
There is no conservative party. That means there is no party, and not enough people support the movement. That gets the GOP off the hook. Why is there no conservative party, and why won't people here just QUIT the dang GOP and do something constructive to start a new party? Do you think Lincoln ran to the Whigs? Start a new Conservative party, because the GOP is not going to do anything for you anymore. Take the GOPers you want and get out of the Republican Party.
And the votes put Obama in office. This country is far more liberal than people here want to admit. Thirty years of abortion, 59 Democratic Senators, a majority of Democrats in the House, and even the most optimistic polls show Republicans at a lower approval rating than Democrats. Stop blaming the media, the churches, talk radio, and politicans. Start blaming your neighbors, friends, relatives, and co-workers who voted for Obama. At this rate, the next election will be more of the same. There were maybe 100,000 people there. Malkin can't see if she thought it was 2 million. Deal with the reality and work from it. Believing spin and lies got this country where it is. Use the reality that people don't share values anymore, and...

Cable's Not Kid-Friendly

Why do conservative households with kids even have a TV? We grew up without TV, and we are fine for it. Seems to me smart parents don't have a TV, and not so smart parents listen to Bozell.

Get rid of the TV while you have kids. If you need news or information, use the internet.

Simple solution, and it saves money. No cable bill.

Is my business, and anyone who pokes his or her nose in it will find my fist poked in his or her nose, but fast.

Uninvited? Unwanted? Unwelcome? Unheeded? Then get out!

That's not conservative or liberal, that's common sense, people. Don't get yourselves shot for not knowing when to get out of other's business.
