Just more "proof" that the Hill is getting ready to run for the Big One. She has to get all the normal obstacles out of the way before then. Political expediency, in my book. Real adults have been thinking about their attitude toward gay rights and gayness in general for decades. It seems rare to change one's mind. No, she need to make sure there are no lockouts to the Nomination. Hillary will not be denied in 2016 and once committed to run, will do anything to win.
I never could understand why Romney didn't just publicly release his college transcripts, call a press conference about them but say nothing of Obama's. Then let observers ask where Barry's are. My theory is less extreme than this author's; it think it more likely that yes, he was reclusive but most that his class choices, his theses were heavily leftist and today embarrassing. He's simply going for the lesser of two evils in hiding them. Best to let people guess than to actually show the negatives. just ignore them, basically. no, they don't matter any more. in themselves. but by refusing to show them, they do matter. bush's time in the air national guard didn't matter later either but the press picked it apart.
A stupid thing for conservatives to waste time and energy on. Let's stick to the Big Stuff. This is petty. Must have been a slow news day.
I sure wish your premise was the case but this seems a classic example of coming to a conclusion based on belief and then finding data to match up and "prove" it. The flaw here is that these are two completely different themes. Apples and oranges. Movies about the death of Osama vs. movies about typical nameless servicemen are not equal marketing propositions. Sorry, you have not removed competing variables. Conclusion: Inconclusive.
If she runs, she wins. Women will vote for her at about an 80% clip, regardless of party affiliation just like blacks voted for Obama (in larger measure). People like my daughter will vote for her regardless, just because she is a woman. We have to get over the First Woman President syndrome, just like we've hopefully jumped over the First Non-white President before any semblance of voting rationalilty returns. If it every will. Because we still have first Latino President to go as well as first openly gay President. then, we'll have to start going for the second tier.....first Asian President, first black woman President, et al. Each of these will get an irrationally large percentage of the (stupid) voting publics good wishes.

Obama AWOL during Benghazi Attack

This President gets a pass on anything remotely negative. The previous President gets bashed for just about everything, even things he had nothing to do with. White Guilt + Black Racism = Irrational treatment of a very flawed leader.
Please somebody explain why these are bad things: Smaller government. Economic liberty. Strong defense. Balanced budgets and debt reduction. Aid to the unable only. And don’t muck with social issues. Those, my friends, are what the irrationally maligned Tea Party are all about. Simple, clear, moral. I'm not a member or a poster carrier but I believe in these things and certainly so did George, Tom, James and the others.
I don't think blame is the issue. Obama is simply smarter, more Machiavellian and he, above all current top politicians, is an advocate of the my-career-over-everything philosophy. The Emperor -- still -- has no clothes. We're just getting used to seeing him nude.
The minimum wage was never intended as a living wage. Two different things.

It's a Christie Thing

Gordon79 Wrote: Jan 17, 2013 1:33 PM
Relax, relax. Christie will never be the nominee and even if so, would never be elected POTUS. No polarizing candidates, unless they are some previously non-represented minority in Presidential history (black, woman, etc.), will ever be elected. You have to feed BS to too many subsegments that you still must woo to win. But more important, no fat man, repeat, no fat man, will ever be elected to head a country where every conscious move is to get unfat. Absent any thyroid or other medical condition, Christie's fatness communicates: Weakness, irrationality, psychological problems, poor self-control, gratification over investment, the list goes on. Sorry fat people, but for most of us (overweight people), it is a choice. A poor choice.
Yes!! Even if -- and this is possible but not probable -- this is one of those "I can't tell you what will really happen or happened" so I have to suffer your scorn in order to do the thing I must because you will see in the end how this plays into a grand strategy.", it doesn't make sense even as a double-agent type of move. It makes no sense on any level.
