The Loud Passing of the Old Order

"American reality has been turned upside down in just 20 years." I disagree. American reality has been turned upside down since the early 70s. And it's never been the same since. Men and women no longer feel comfortable about how to behave around each other. Relationships are deteriorating because roles are no longer defined. Parents are no longer confident that they're raising their children properly. The work place has become a hostile environment. Competition in the business world is a thing of the past. Children today do not know how to accept failure when they mature because they were taught their entire lives that “everyone is a winner and no one is a loser.” This makes for a very unstable generation of non-risk takers...

When Metaphors Attack!

Do you have ANY idea how tired I am of looking at that "Uncle Fester" look-alike? And I believe most pundits are finally distancing themselves from the finger pointing BS that has been plaguing our airwaves and networks. I think that most people are burned out from watching the Left and the Right sling mud while not actually doing their jobs as representatives of the people. This includes politicians AND the media. And now members of Congress are going to sit side-by-side while listening to obama’s drivel? Give me a break! The reason we have a two-party system is to encourage debate; responsible debate. That has not happened in quite a few decades. Or was it centuries? I agree that the Right needs to address the baseless...
Marxist or not, how can you expect a moron to fully understand the complexities of nuclear negotiations? That is like trying to explain quantum physics to a five-year old. It seems that obama’s politics of today are consistent with his politics of his past—real surprise. That, and his distaste for what this country stands for…or used to stand for…will reduce our negotiation posture to “what can I do for YOU today.” The US will cease to be a world power as long as we have politicians like obama at the bargaining table. Congress needs to limit his actions before he does any more damage.

Liberal Sickos Exploit a Rampage

Mr. Bozell, titling your article "Liberal Sickos" is the exact reason there has been so much finger pointing and name calling after the Tuscon shooting. Irregardless of our inner feelings, name calling and placing blame on anyone but the shooter in this case is one of the reasons why our political system...and our country...is so screwed up. I believe the liberals will get their just dessert when the smoke clears. Conservatives and others who are being labeled and scapegoated will prevail if we just keep our heads and flood the media with facts; something that has been a foreign component to the media and the American people lately. Old Texas saying: When you wrestle with a pig you both get dirty...but the pig likes it.
Ev, they're a PITA to field strip. I have a Taurus and will be parting with it as soon as I can find a buyer. I bought a Springfield Armory XDM and XD Subcompact and love them. They feel good, shoot well, are very accurate, and they're easy to strip. Yes, the Taurus is a little easier to conceal but I'll take all the other advantages of the SA XDs over the Taurus any day.
I agree Doug. I'm not sure what the after effects would be if I had to shoot a person but my philosophy is this: enter my home without my permission and with malice aforethought and I will perceive you as a threat to myself and my family. And you will die. I’m sure I’ll feel bad about this until I think about the alternatives. Then that sad feeling will turn into a sigh of relief.
As another Texan, I will also keep watch to make sure that Rick Perry stands by his word. As far as the Social Security Ponzi scheme reference is concerned, I'm sure that Perry's camp is concerned that the spin might bring in a few votes to Bill White. Turning Houston into a sanctuary city and bringing in thousands of Katrina refugees into the city and surrounding areas (most of who are still here) brought crime into our areas and strained the already strained budgets of Houston and surrounding towns. White should be ashamed the way he used Houston as a way to increase his popularity among Hispanics and Blacks. In my opinion, Bill White is a traitor to the country and the State of Texas. He tied the hands of the police and caused...

The Multicultural Cult: Part II

Gordon176 Wrote: Oct 20, 2010 2:56 PM
Everyone's got their labels these days for those who disagree with their beliefs. During the George Bush (Jr.) days if you disagreed with their policies (especially after the Iraq invasion) you were "unpatriotic." Today, if you disagree with this administration's beliefs you are a "racist", "Homophobic", or a "gun-toting nut." Kinda like that last one. It's a shame that citizens cannot express their opinions without being labeled one way or the other. Not that it stops me from expressing mine. But that mentality does stiffle many a good discussion.

My wife is fluent in Russian, English and French. Same with my older daughter. My younger daughter is fluent in Russian and English and is learning Spanish. Learning numerous languages is a European thing which is not practiced here in the US. We in the US would benefit in learning at least a second language. Doesn't change our culture. It enriches our lives.
