That is not why McCain lost. He lost because of 8 years of Bush-bashing, and Obama's Change button worked. He was seen as an old white guy versus making history with a young black guy. McCain also was the other half of the McCain/Kennedy amnesty bill that caused him to lose the Independent vote, which is why the Democrats did not go there when they had all the majorities. It would have hurt their re-election efforts with the Independents this coming election. The Democrats put their own re-elections over the Hispanics, which comes as no surprise.
