John, there is only one thing that puts Obama in his position of looking like a loser, and that is a winner - Mitt Romney. Had it been someone else, that someone would have been the one exposed, naked and looking like NOT THE ONE, like Obama feels now. Romney has the best qualifications on both sides of the aisle. 25 proven, successful years of executive and business experience. Mitt Romney, being the fine example of a president, with qualifications and successful, proven experiences, and no bads on him other than he has been a successful American, who is charitable, well-schooled with experience in the free market and government systems successfully, with not failures (bads). Romney is the winner from the start.

The presidential playbook generally calls for a successful candidate to swing to the middle when they are running unopposed for their party’s nomination.

But as we enter perhaps the final three months of the Obama administration, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for anyone to make an appeal to the center, if indeed a center even exists in American politics anymore.

Obama has destroyed the political center in this country, and for that we can be thankful. 

Because Obama’s policies have exposed the basic problem with the bipartisan approach favored by establishment Republicans and so-called Blue Dog Democrats.
