Our founders wanted church out of religion, NOT religion out of government. They wrote that our form of government could only exist with a moral society. This includes recognizing the immorality of using the law to steal private property to give to those consuming it. Government charity, government confiscation by taxing income before you use it to spend, save or invest IS immoral. It is more immoral for anyone to use that to get welfare, food stamps, rent subsidies, lunch programs paid for through tax dollars confiscated without choice.
