What if that 68% would fund a citizen's militia to secure our border? That same 68% are the ones afctually paying for our whole government anyway. Just create a non-profit corporation, get donations and offer tax deductions for charitible contributions. How many people would volunteer to join such an enterprise? Housing, food, clothing, weapons and ammo supplied in exchange for truly securing the border. I'm in.

That would be illegal. And foolish. One person shooting without cause and the whole thing would justify more stereotypical stuff from the Left.

The minuitmen had done something like that some years until the moneyed interests pressured the federal government to put a stop to it.

The way to do this would be for all the private land owners to hire private security, for 5 cents a year, and position your volunteers that way. That would so confound the drug smugglers that Obama would send troops to stop it, and continue his cut of the drug action, for the weapons and protection he now provides.
