Afraid Doc is right: "The fault lies with the American people. Their elected representatives are a reflection of the electorate, and Americans are no longer center right. Americans are a center left people ... or have become so." Perhaps the public school indoctrination along with the media propaganda has succeeded in convincing the majority that it's "kind" and "compassionate" to take (by force) from the producers and give to the takers. The proper role of government to protect the rights and property of citizens has been perverted into the role of pillaging the property of individuals and giving it to others to whom it does not belong. This used to be called theft.
That's your real analysis? Romney lost because of his religion? All else being equal, if he was a Catholic he would have won?
Did you read my post? I think that my saying "I'm afraid we may just have to accept the fact that the majority of the people in this country no longer understand or respect the Constitution," is my facing the fact that the majority of Americans don't want us anymore. However, what the majority wants does not determine which principles are right or wrong. I'll still keep advocating for the founding principles. If Romney had won, would you have gone away and quit fighting for your beliefs?

Can't speak for Sloandog, but I am bitter. Do you think this election was some sort of game or joke? In fact, Obama's whole game is bitterness. If somebody has more than you, you are entitled to it; they didn't build it; they aren't paying their fair share, etc.. How does it feel to "LOL" as we get ready to go over a financial cliff?
What a stupid statement from Jenny Beth Martin. Romney/Ryan was a fantastic ticket. The contrast between R/R and Obama/Biden could not have been more stark. I'm afraid we may just have to accept the fact that the majority of the people in this country no longer understand or respect the Constitution. It's either that, or those that do care about it somehow did not translate that into the need to vote. I hope those that wanted a more "perfect" ticket did not refrain from voting for Romney. If they did, then the four more years of destruction that will be done to this nation is on their heads as much as it is on the heads of those that voted for Obama.
