Think about this………… The modern phenomena of school mass murders in our schools is a MEDIA driven phenomena. The media is constantly harping about this situation thus putting the idea of school shootings into the heads of potential killers or nut cases. It will take more than a generation of NOT reporting this stuff to get it out of the people’s line of sight. Take a look at this wiki page and then check out the dates of school room massacres if you don’t believe it. These facts speak for themselves. It really is the MEDIA who has the bloody hands on this stuff! If you click on the YEAR column you will see three incidences (worldwide) starting in 1913 and ending

"The media is constantly harping about this situation thus putting the idea of school shootings into the heads of potential killers or nut cases." - while teachers union is constantly harping about making more and more "gun-free zones".

Now, media and unions are controlled by the same "people", see the trend?

ending in 1927.

With exception to the three incidents mentioned above, ALL INSTANCES of school room massacres have occurred since 1964 (The Texas Tower incident).

The media made a movie about the Texas Tower incident and it is still shown on a regular basis (This keeps the idea of mass murders alive in the minds of the public).

Naturally, some loony tunes will see this and decide to do something similar.

Something else worth noting…………………

This media driven phenomena is now happening WORLDWIDE.

This proves beyond doubt the killings are copycat killings driven by the media broadcasting this stuff as loudly as possible whenever it happens.

The MEDIA truly does have the bloody hands in the death of our children.

It’s time we CENSOR the media.

Free speech was meant to protect political speech…..not to broadcast every manner of perversion!

It's not just the media sensationalizing events, it's the entertainment industry making unspeakable profits from violence-fueled films and video games. Who does the film industry target: kids 12 to 24. The Aurora, CO, killer came as the Joker for the premier of the latest Batman film. People like Sean Penn and Leo diCaprio make $50 million plus for their roles as sadistic killers. Did anyone say hypocrisy?
Whether it's climate change or shooting rampages information coming from the so-called "experts" is no longer evidence-based policy-making but policy-based evidence-making.
So while the left is screaming to abridge our 2nd Amendment rights, how about we discuss abridging the entertainment industry's (mostly lefties) 1st Amendment rights

In the wake of a monstrous crime like a madman's mass murder of defenseless women and children at the Newtown, Conn., elementary school, the nation's attention is riveted on what could have been done to prevent such a massacre.

Luckily, some years ago, two famed economists, William Landes at the University of Chicago and John Lott at Yale, conducted a massive study of multiple victim public shootings in the United States between 1977 and 1995 to see how various legal changes affected their frequency and death toll.

Landes and Lott examined many of the very policies being proposed...
