There is no one political commentator that I blame more for shoving the Mitt Romney failure upon the GOP and conservatives than Hugh Hewiit. Please, Hugh, for the sake of the GOP and the country, stay as far away from the political nominating process as possible!!!

I'd be willing to bet you $100.00 that I did a heckavu lot more during this election than you did to try and help Romney, who I admittedly am not a fan of, win this election. Made around 500 phone calls out of the local GOP HQ, did the 72 hour program thing, etc. Did you do anything more than squabble on forums like this? Probably not. As a 40 year member of the GOP, I think I'll stay right where I am, working like heck to never have another weak candidate like Romney nominated ever again. Spending tens of millions of dollars trashing your GOP primary opponents like Romney did in 2008 and 2012 might win you the nomination, but that's as far as it goes.

Sorry, Ann, but it was mostly Romney's fault........and yours as well! Romney's appeal as a candidate always had a low ceiling, that so many conservative pundits like Ann were anable (or unwilling) to see that is what is most confusing. Romney comes across as a used car salesman to too many people and flip flopped on too many issues, he just was the wrong person to go up against the Obama machine. That Obama looks to have gotten 5M less votes this time around than he did in 2008 and Romney still was unable to beat him shows just how weak a candidate Romney was. Unfortunately, Ann and her ilk will probably force another bad candidate on us again in 2016. You wonder which side they're on sometimes.
