The Glenn Beck Rule: How to Out a Racist

Beck mentioned this group during the Restore Honor rally when he talked about how Christian pastors supported the revolutionary war. He would like to have such a group active in returning people to GOD. He didn't mention whether they would come at night in black helicopters.

Thus far, the only respondents to the concept are evangelical Christians. Ask Beck about whether non-Chrisitians like Rabbis and Imams are welcome to be a part of the group. I don't like the concept no matter who is included or excluded.

Don't be concerned about Beck, the Mormon, calling Obama a racist. Beck pulled back on the charge of racism and decided to go with Obama, the perverted Christian. When a Mormon makes such a charge, you know it's true. When a Mormon tells you that the founding fathers benefited from a group of pastors called the Black Robe Regiment, you know that's true as well. When a Mormon tells you that it's time to kick start the Black Robe Regiment, go on and just do it. Don't concern yourself about the many bible interpretations engaged by Christians. Don't concern yourself about the theological underpinning for Beck's Black Robe Regiment. Just concern yourself about whether is a double standard about name calling Beck a racist. ...

Tea Party: Why the Left Doesn't Get It

why aren't Obama haters happy?
When everything is parsed in order to be perfectly clear, lack of clarity seeps in. In addition, the parsing increases the amount of pages needed to make a point that gets lost because of the parsing. The United States Code is heavily parsed throughout its fifty titles including the Title 26 tax code.

The heavily parsed tax code is not written to benefit everyday people. It is written by lobbyists on behalf of corporations which, as we are well aware, has legal personhood. The thing is the corportations, that special class of people, don't tend to pay taxes, but they do get massive tax refunds at the federal and state levels as incentive to provide jobs as well as other benefits to the communities in which they reside. At...

Saving the Soul of the Religious Left

As an independent who is situationally conservative on some issues and liberal on others, I can only speak absolutely for myself. All the nonsense about President Obama as Messiah, is just that: nonsense. He walks on water the same way that the rest of us do, when the water is frozen. Bear in mind, anybody who walks on frozen water can fall in and drown.

Many people walk in faith. Very obviously, there is no agreement on the walk or even the faith. For me, Jesus is The Way and The Light. He is The Gate on the Narrow Path. Where do I find The Gate and The Narrow Path? in my faith and it's not arguable, so, when someone's path and gate seems different than mine, I respect that and move on.

We, the people, are...

Saving the Soul of the Religious Left

Now that the right can no longer claim GOD for their very own against the secular left, the only straw man to set up and knock down is the theology and dogma of the left's Christianity. Of all the variant theologies and dogmas, which is the only one that GOD will recognize and how does one know? It's a shame and a farce that the author states that "For the left, redemption is to be had not through personal sacrifice and struggle, but through the redistribution of resources; not through personal discipline but through mandates for equality. It is not enough to save our neighbor we must work to save the planet." Redemption is between GOD and the individual. I don't know your redemption and you don't know mine.

Hope and Change ... the Constitution

I hope that you are listening to the people who are telling you to be careful of what you pray for. The people who want to take this country back to the originial Constitution and Bill of Rights will be the same people who will enslave you based upon those two documents. There won't be a 13th or 14th amendment that will allow you to blossom into the Reagan Republican that you are today.

Just because you write and give speeches on the topics near and dear to the hearts of people who want the America of the founding fathers does not mean that any of that will benefit you if it was to come to fruition. Again, be careful what you pray for.

How the Left Fakes the Hate: A Primer

to infinity and beyond.

One can say that a person spit on her/him or one could describe the same event as "the man who allowed his saliva to hit my face." In both instances, the person who was hit by the saliva is fouled. Ewww.

I've been reading articles and comments on conservative blogs and it is abundantly clear that the fervor that followed up to the enactment of healthcare reform has now ratcheted up to higher, dangerous levels. People are commenting that they are prepared and waiting for that defining moment when they will engage in armed warfare to reclaim their country.

It does not have to be this way. There are Republicans who vow to make changes to the law even as there are others who vow to get the law...

I've been thinking about your argument being stronger about a recent past attempt to destroy our country by stating your case differently:

our country engaged in two wars, one was underfunded and the other more than well funded while using a mercenary military, a US federal military; lots and lots of civilian contractors in an imperial attempt to gain oil rights (or was that locating WMD?) . . . meanwhile, at the same time, tax cuts were put into place to encourage economic stimulation to companies that sent jobs overseas . . . finally, deregulation of corporate practices that resulted in taking this country to the brink of economic meltdown
