Thank you Walter. I always appreciate your sanity and logic. No one says it better.
Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's a bad picture, but I am just not seeing the high cheekbones. somebody help me out here...
In order to fund Social Security and Medicare, you have to have workers paying into those systems. And, in order to have those workers, you have to have jobs for them to do. So, tell me Mr. President, how many jobs have you created to replace those you have destrroyed or scared businesses into not creating. Why don't you and Congress just admit that Government cannot create jobs and leave the private sector alone?
Part 2. If we get warmer, we have more tillable land. More tillable land means more Crops. And, since our farmers are already doing more with less land, think of what they'll be able to accomplish when global warming extends the planting seasons and allows them to plant maybe two crops of corn a year. we can already feed the world. Now we'll have surpluses.
I live in Maryland. If we 90 inches of snow, it's global warming. If we get a mild winter, it's global warming. The Hurricane forecasters have been wrong for so long, they finally decided that they would quit making forecasts. This means they'll leave it up to the MSP to scare the hell out of everybody. Ethanol. Don't get me started. Do away with all of those subsidies. It rots your engine. It costs more than it's worth to produce, but the subsidies given to the farmers pay them more than if they raise corn just as a food crop. Do you remember the food riots in Mexico? But the lower mileage is a good thing even though most people don't realize it. You have to fill up more often and as a result the Feds and the State get more taxes.
Can we call the Democratic voters "The Karl Marx crowd"?

I think you've jumped to a few too many conclusions. You can investigate without an arrest. But from the backlash I've seen maybe protective custody would be a better description for what should happen. I didn't see you mention that.

Dupes for the State

I've always called it "incrementalism". If they want it, they are smart enough to know that they will get it if they just have a little patience and go one step at a time. And, the Nanny State is very patient. Having been a smoker, people didn't believe me when I told them that after they were done with smokers, they'd move on to eliminate other sins-as they saw them. I find people are finally starting to wake up; but, they still want to know what they can do about it. So, how do you teach people to stop being a nation of sheep?

Obama's Teachable Truthiness Moment

Heck, we all know he lies. There is nothing new about that. My question is why is the Federal Government involved in local education at all? In MD that is supposed to be paid for by our property taxes. I admit I'm not sure about other States, but I was always under the impression that education was funded by State and local taxes, depending upon the Jurisdiction. The Feds have no business whatever being involved in local matters. Once more, the camel shoves its nose under the tent so that it can dictate what agenda they wish taught and how they wish it to be taught. Abolish the Department of Education. it serves as nothing more than a clearing house for the agenda of the NEA. If we can keep it local, we should.
So I guess the liberals and the Media were right after all when they crowed that the guns were being supplied from America. They just didn't know that that our Ace Executive branch was the supplier or they probably would have ignored it.
