Sorry you cannot make the trip to Texas....born here and don't intend to go anywhere....love my state. All I can say to people coming here....we welcome you, but don't come here from NY or Jersey and vote for the things that got you to leave there...when you come here, become a conservative and vote conservatively, otherwise, just stay where you are .... your voting is what screwed up your economy in NY or Jersey, don't come here and screw up our economy in Texas, we Texans would take resentment to that as we don't want to become the same politically insane state as the one you abandoned.

Whoops, no income tax. Still have sales tax.

Yup. Left Texas a couple years ago for an area where there is still no sales tax. However, we don't have to lock our doors and set the house alarm every time we go to the grocery store. Also, don't have to press one for English. I would tell you where we moved, but don't want those Cali's and Yorkers flooding in.....

When Texans get the liberal idiots out of Austin and start passing laws like the ones in Arizona, I may actually like living here. I would much rather be in Arizona. Texas has some beautiful country and some really nice people, but they have just too many liberal idiots in the legislature in Austin. They also have more than their share of criminals that the minority morons elect because of the color of their skin, rather than the content of their character. An example is Sheila Jackson Lee from Houston and the Congressional Black Caucus member from Dallas that was caught giving CBC scholarship money to her grandkids and nephew and claimed that she didn't know who they were.

Ginger12, I hear ya! We have a bunch of people that move to Virginia from up North and they have basically screwed Virginia up with their voting. One does not need to look any further than NoVa and the counties surrounding Charlottesville.

Amen, sister. Also, need to add Californians to that mix. A bunch have moved to Austin and that is one liberl city.
There is a serious scramble in this country to keep hard-earned money. Sure, the media points out the nation reelected President Obama and his agenda of high taxes and slow growth, but the majority of earners are voting in a different manner. They are seeking new places to live and putting money into the bank or under the mattress. Ironically, more and more are coming to the stock market knowing gains will be hijacked, but the net might still be better than low interest rates coupled with a dilapidated currency.

Last week Phil Michelson was pilloried by the national media for daring...
