I wonder if Mourdock would deny a woman the use of deadly force to repel an unwanted sexual assault because "God intended her to be raped and impregnated". If one argues a conceptus is a person entitled to life, one must accept that person's implantation on the uterus of a woman who does not wish to be pregnant is also a physical assault to which she is entitled to resist with deadly force. An unwanted pregnancy is a curse of a parent for which the Bible indicates a child should be put to death. Does Mourdock presume to tell God His business?

Mourdock made a stupid comment. Even you must realize that he wasn't saying that God intended for a rape to happen. Romney and Ryan have both gone on record as saying they are against abortion, EXCEPT in the case of rape, incest or when the life of the mother was in jeopardy. Romney and Ryan both repudiated the comments made by Akin, as did the RNC. They should do the same with Mourdock. BTW, how many stupid Biden comments (they'll have y'all back in chains) has Obama and the Democrat party repudiated?

Responding to a question about abortion, Mourdock offered a grieved response -- his voice breaking a bit -- on the matter of which exceptions he favored. His Democratic opponent, Joe Donnelly, also pro-life, said that he would permit abortions in cases of rape, incest and to save the life of the mother. Mourdock said he had "struggled with it . . . for a long time," but had come...
