Catholics should not be permitted to impose their religious tenets on non-Catholics by creating local monopolies on medical care via "certificates of need" for medical facilities. Some religions approve of abortions; their adherents are entitled for their own "religious freedom" not to be infringed by papist politicians.

So, in the vacuous hole that represents your mind, it's better that Catholics close down their hospitals and clinics, providing charitable services to no one, than "impose their religious tenets" by refusing services which violate Catholic doctrine? I hope that someday, as you stand in the miles-long, medical-care ration line, you recall that you are responsible - you traded "papist" charity for government mandate. If only you leftist vermin had to deal with the consequences of your idiocy.

Some religions approve of human sacrifice. Why impose our religious tenets on them?

Abortion is murder, that's the truth. It doesn't matter if you're Catholic, Protestant, or atheist, it's the truth. There is so much medical evidence today that a baby has a heartbeat, and has movements at a point very early in the pregnancy. Killing this baby for a woman's inconvenience is like murdering a baby after it's born.
So us Catholics aren't imposing our religious tenets on others, we are defending those who are the most defenseless and can't speak for themselves.

You should probably change your handle to "Kill-christ."

The abortion question need not involve "competing religious views" (a bit of classic leftist subversion born of cynicism and subjective-relativist mumbo jumbo).

The Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution guarantee the inalienable right to life for EVERYONE. Until it can be incontrovertably proven to the satisfaction of everyone that life begins at some point later than conception, then the right to life MUST be protected for all preborn children.

This is not some dreamy-eyed metaphysical question. It is one of equal protections and due process.

Any society that justifies killing innocent, defensless people because they are inconvenient does not deserve to survive.

yup
and they are free to start their own baby-killing clinics

Passing the most comprehensive gun legislation in the nation apparently wasn’t enough for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. According to LifeNews.com, he’s now pushing the most sweeping abortion legislation in the country, too. The so-called Reproductive health bill would make drastic changes to New York’s current abortion policy, permitting unlimited late-term abortion on demand and allowing non-physicians to perform abortions, for example. The Catholic Center outlines the extreme elements in the bill:

The bill would permit unlimited late-term abortion on demand. Current state law says abortions are legal in New York through 24 weeks...
