Why is a bomb in Boston, Kabul or Baghdad considered the work of a terrorist but a bomb in Damascus considered the work of a freedom fighter? Why isn't the work of the Tsarnaevs considered part of a civil war and Dzhokhar considered a POW? The US needs to butt out of internal Syrian affairs and let Assad handle his own terrorists before we end up with other foreign governments aiding and abetting "freedom fighters" in our country.
Unless the Departments of Commerce and/or Labor can certify that a prospective immigrant possesses job skills in short supply, no immigrant visa should be issued as long as the unemployment rate remains above 4%. All prospective immigrants seeking permanent status should be required to demonstrate proficiency in English prior to a visa being issued.

WRONG! The Fourteenth extended what had been prohibitions on the federal government's infringement on individual rights referenced by the Ninth to state governments.

You need an education; some complications of pregnancy do not develop for six months.

" leftwingers deny the link between breast cancer and abortions," and Catholic kooks deny the same link between celibacy and breast cancer.
You hit the nail on the head when you queried why we need to import unskilled labor when we have so many on the unemployment rolls. Maybe we need an immigration index like the CPI to automatically adjust immigration quotas without Congressional approval based on the unemployment rate. We certainly need to treat illegal immigration as the crime that it is. Preference should be given to prospective immigrants who have already learned English and possess skills which are in short supply.

The basic problem lies with the fact the bulk of the populace is overly concerned with income tax RATES rather than the income basis to which the rate is applied. You could return to pre-Kennedy marginal rates of 90+% and most of the so-called rich would still escape those rates. I resent having to pay tax on the portion of a capital gain represented by inflation; I resent people not paying income tax on life insurance proceeds in excess of premiums paid. I detest tax credits; they are effectively a tax paid and appropriated back to the taxpayer without the general public being able to know who benefited from the appropriation and by how much. Define real income and apply a flat excise on it without credits and deductions.

Like the unenumerated right to terminate a pregnancy that one does not wish to continue or the unenumerated right to establish a permanent sexual relationship with someone of the same gender.
