Uniquely among the world's nations, U.S. officers do not take an oath of loyalty to an individual leader nor to a government. Our oath is to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We are duty bound to defend the Constitution against domestic enemies.

Reporters use confidentiality mainly to keep readers from evaluating the validity of information. How differently Watergate would have played out if the public had learned that "Deep Throat" was a political hack seeking revenge for being passed over for promotion and not a courageous citizen risking all for the public good. Maintaining confidentiality had everything to do with the WaPo's political agenda and nothing to do with the public good.

It's important to know what leftists mean by "SAafe Schools." For them, it doesn't mean schools where students are safe from violence and such. It means schools that are safe for homosexuals.
