The Sad, Sorry Life of Julia

http://blog.heritage.org/a-better-life-for-julia/ This is Julia's alternative life, as per the Heritage Foundation.
GM is owned not by we the people, but by the unions. Look at the latest contract: never mind that the company still owes millions to the government, the workers are getting bonuses. Wonder how much the execs are making. The shareholders got nothing and their former CEO (IIRC) was 'encouraged' to resign. If I have to buy another car, I'd rather NOT have a post-2008 GM car.
The Republican-led House would have to start the impeachment process. But you are right about the Senate--it probably won't allow the proceeding with its present leadership. However, it doesn't stop any proceedings from beginning against Solyndra's officers/employees (if such actions are warranted). Whether Obama could be prosecuted after he leaves office remains to be seen, as I've never heard of such a proceeding in my lifetime.
Conflict of interest, anyone?
This wasn't the first Republican debate. The first one was in late August (Perry wasn't in that one because he hadn't declared yet). FOX News ran that debate, because I remember Newt Gingrich stating something at Chris Wallace about 'gotcha' questions.

Oh, so when Perry states something about the Fed that may or may not be true, he's supposed to 'be more careful with his words' and given some slack because it's still early in the campaign. But no one in the administration has to be careful with what they say? At least Perry has some cred at growing his state's economy.... This President's been in for nearly three years, and what do we have? Massive regulations and Obamacare--everyone's skittish to do much because they don't know if they'll be taxed out of existence.

Obama Could Learn From Ronald Reagan

I remember the hostage situation and Reagan's inauguration, too. I was in Government class when the inauguration and the release happened. I don't remember the 'national malaise' speech, though--but the media did play that clip shortly after Obama's speech.
I didn't vote for him. I voted for Whitman. I asked about Brown's first term and voted accordingly.
