As long as the FED is keeping interest artificially low banks have no need to lend money. They can borrow from the FED for 0% and invest in bonds that return 2% at Zero risk. Why would you loan to businesses or individuals who may default on their loan, especially in the Obama administration's unfriendly to business climate? You don't need to risk it.

Yes - The mullahs do feel the same way. The big difference is that Western Christianity will tolerate other religions, allow all to worship as they wish. The mullahs will not. They kill Christians, Hindus and others on a regular basis.

On the contrary - It's obvious that the "War on Poverty" Medicare and even Social Security are all headed for spectacular failures. History has shown this to be the inevitable fate of all big government programs and big governments. Capitalism has produced the greatest good for the greatest number.
