Most of the comments to this Greenspan nterview seem to be by people who cannot understand complex financial English. Greenspan was clear that in his opinion the data shows that the nation as a whole is avoiding investments in long term assets of any nature both by business and private investors. He also added that the data shows that Fed policies have NOT resulted in increase in loans for long term investments by the banks. He also implied that the Obama Administrative policy was not helping either, although he avoided using word Obama.

Lol! Can you say "Money Supply Bubble?" That is as complex as it needs to get. We could go deeper, but why obfuscate the truth?

He also specifically stated that he did want to answer any question regarding the Federal Reserve. He was very careful to say that there may be a recession, but that he is not seeing it, and that the level of unemployment is only 4%, and that is where we are seeing a problem.
From the get go, he changes the initial question that Kudlow has for him, and then states that our Economy is unlike any we have ever seen at this point so you can't look at it from the same perspective. He uses a lot of economic language to make it sound as though over all we are doing okay, and that the GDP is not so bad, even though it has gone down because, after all, we have a different economy.

The figures for the rate of National unemployment is based on those that file for unemployment. Many who have filed in the past three years are now unable to continue receiving those benefits, or are not filing at all.
Lawrence Kudlow is the host of CNBC’s primetime “The Kudlow Report” (7pm to 8pm ET). He is also the host of The Larry Kudlow Show, which broadcasts on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm ET on WABC Radio and is syndicated nationally by Cumulus Media. He is also a nationally syndicated columnist and a former Reagan economic advisor. CNBC's The Kudlow Report also airs on Sirius (ch.129) and XM (ch.127) weeknights at 7pm ET.
