The hits just keep a-coming from Obama and his people... opening combat MOS billets to women in the name of diversity will degrade our ability to fight/win wars and get good men - and good women besides - killed to satisfy a tiny minority of politically-correct radical feminists who want women in these jobs. Unbiased surveys confirm again and again that the vast majority of female enlisted women themselves do not want to go in combat. So why is the Pentagon sending them there? This is an idiotic idea from an administration which specializes in them.

Do Gun Control Laws Control Guns?

Gun control laws are, first and foremost, about the control of people - not of firearms. Automobiles kill far more people every year than guns, but you never hear gun-control types speak of the need to ban cars for reasons of safety. Why? Because safety is just a convenient red herring - a distraction - from their real agenda, which is to control and ultimately tyrannize people by removing their ability to defend themselves.
Re: "Matt Damon’s Latest Film Simplifies a Complex Political Issue" It does more than that, John... scratch the surface of "Promised Land," and you'll find Saudi funding behind this film, which opposes development of domestic fossil fuels - just as the royal house of Saud does.
Re: "Boehner Re-Elected House Speaker" This is one more reason the Republican Party deserves to be yesterday's news.... can any real conservative support this guy?
How about stupidity control? Oh, that's right.... in the immortal words of Ron White, "You can't fix stupid!"

Second that.... and we should require that any Congressman/woman who votes for a foreign deployment of troops into a hot zone have "skin" in the game, namely that he or his children be subject to a draft for said purposes. It is always easy to start a war when someone else is paying the price in blood, sweat and tears.

Shubi, the Vietnam War was concluded via truce at the Paris Peace Talks in 1973. The vast majority of our combat arms forces left the Republic of S. Vietnam in '73, having beaten the north in every significant military engagement. After having pledged to support the south, Congress stabbed Saigon in the back and left them to their fate in 1975, when the communists reneged on the peace agreement. In other words, our military didn't lose the war; Congress lost the peace.

Why the War Party Fears Hagel

Georgia Boy 61 Wrote: Dec 28, 2012 7:56 PM
Pat Buchanan is wrong in labeling the GOP as America's "war party," for the Democrats and Obama have used the U.S. military more times and in more places than George Bush's administration ever did. Bush was forced into war in Afghanistan by 9-11, and chose war in Iraq. Obama has sent our forces (including special ops and intelligence assets) into the two above nations, plus Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Uganda, Syria and probably Iran... not to mention Pakistan. Obama has also vastly accelerated the use of drones for assassinations, including of at least one American citizen (albeit one who had become a terrorist). So, Pat, who's the "war monger" now?
Mayor Bloomberg is a crass and insensitive jerk, to say nothing of his totalitarian tendencies which manifest in his ceaseless calls for gun control. Only a heartless jerk turns such an atrocity for political purposes before the dead are even buried. ONly a would-be tyrant suggests that guns themselves kill, when anyone with sense knows that guns are only tools of those who would do violence. In fact, a very good case can made that - had there been one person in that hapless school qualifed in the use of a concealed firearm and licensed to carry it - that the death toll might have been far lower. Why so many school shootings? Because would-be killers know they are "gun-free" zones and thus soft targets.

Concealed carry in Illinois is not yet a reality, Chapman - it is best not to count your chickens before they've hatched, wouldn't you agree? The court gave the state 160 days to write a statute, which is alot of time to screw up the works.
