Agree, unless all Republicans gather around one candidate, instead of a split third party nomination of Ron Paul or Gary Johnson, we should just declare Obama the winner now. But knowing Ron Paul supporters, they would like to vote for only Ron Paul at the expense of saving America. See this New Mexico poll, for example: http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/2011/PPP_Release_NM_1216513.pdf ; that is what happens with Gary Johnson as a third party candidate. I could not imagine the margin of Obama winning if Ron Paul jumped in as a third party candidate, too.
