The New Battleground of Child Custody Reform: Shared Parenting

It’s refreshing to see both the Left and the Right increasingly united on the need for family law reform. Rachel Alexander has done a superb job or surveying the issue in a succinct and comprehensive manner. Churchill once quipped that Americans eventually do the right thing after they have tried everything else. Hopefully we are poised to make intelligent changes. Families constitute the bedrock of any society, and modern western states are undermininge themselves with presumably well-intentioned but otherwise blighted interventionist policies. it’s high time we returned to the traditional norm of private ordering of family affairs with state intervention as the last (and not the first) resort.
