Finland has practically the best public education in the world, and they do not start before 7 years old. It is like that, when you are more concerned about educating minds, rather than twisting them.

I work with people most of whom have "advanced degrees" those of the x-generation and after. Most can't carry on an intelligent direct conversation if their lives depended on it. The majority can't put two sentences together and a cohesive ORIGINAL idea. And practically all of them work as if the work place were an extension of their universities where the copy and paste, generate power point presentations, and spread sheets and then hold meeting after meeting to discuss the compiled work of others, just like they did in their essays, term papers and thesis. But, almost to a man/woman they are incapable of actually doing the work they copy from others. It isn't any different than if some one did a study of what Lewis and Clark

did and documented. All the pseudo-intellectuals of academia do is write reports and studies of what Lewis and Clark did, making sure to dot their I's, cross their Ts and put in the appropriate references and footnotes (like they did for their grades). However, in the end analysis, not a one of them actually come to KNOW what those two individuals came to know through EXPERIENCE and not one of them is capable of DOING what they did. This is the primary reason American Corporations are going down the tubes. Because it is this group of pseudo-intellectuals who by in large are the ones placed in the intermediate and upper positions of authority who truly DON'T KNOW MUCH OF ANYTHING except the term paper and report process NON-productive

While the scarecrow tripped down the yellow brick road to go to Oz to get his piece of paper what said he had a brain, at least he was smart enough to not shell out tens of thousands of dollars for it...so he could have the good job, and the good money and in reality leave the hard work up to others...not because it is necessarily smart but because they really don't know how to do it. So they spend t heir lives draining and capitalizing on the true knowledge of others just like they learned in skool, and believe that this process is the measure of their intellect and how smart they are. Left to their own devices they most would fail miserably.

LOL..I know someone who is a college student...been working on his degree for 20 years almost...still hasn't gotten one. My son who never got a HS diploma due to other circumstances is smarter than this dope...more intelligence in his little finger than this idiot has and when he tries to have a conversation, it's like riddle me this time! You can't talk to him because he KNOWs everything already...but hey, he's in college so there ya go...he's smarter than the average person...ugh!

The laugh punch line comes at the end: "This works. We know it works."

Putting aside the fiscal issue, I don't think sending our kids to more government-run liberal educators is the solution.
