Is it true that corn is genetically modified for higher octane? I am so old that I remember when we used to eat it. Thanks, Senator Grassley--a Republican bringing home the bacon for the corn producers.

Our major delima is that the Obama administration sees Christians sharing their faith door to door as the moral equivalency of Muslims who kill anyone who does not agree with them.

In the United States, the left wing does not consider it politically correct to win. Neither does the left wing want to admit that one side has the moral advantage over another. Any such admission would imply that there is actually a final authority, and they will have none of that. However, much to their chagrin, in the final analysis, there will be a FINAL ANALYSIS. Consequently, there are no political solutions to the world's problems; there are only spiritual solutions.
On August 1st, when I drove to work in Texas, it was 68 degrees. I think I can live with this. Nevertheless, we have a noisy minority who continue to complain about the weather, and they are the same minority who are pushing Amnesty. There is no reasoning with them. In fact, they find reason or logic to be their enemy.

I'm with you. Am I correct that there was a time during the Bush years that we had the White House, Senate, Congress and a supposedly conservative Supreme Court. We drifted to the left even during those years. If Republicans are going to vote like Democrats, what is the point of voting Republican?
It is August 1st in Texas, and it was 68 degrees and raining when I drove to work. And remember, this is the kind of weather that the Democrats complain about. And these same people who complain about 68 degree August weather are the same ones that are driving Amnesty issue. If they think that 68 degrees in August is a bad thing, then there is no reasoning with them about Amnesty.
Can you imagine how much money we could save by going ahead and admitting that President Obama has rendered the House and Senate irrelevant? Let's just do away with them; they have absolutely no moral aptitude to thwart a lawless president.
The Republican Establishment's plan to reduce the flow of illegal immigrants is to have fewer voter registrars at the border.
And then our Single Payer program will be as efficient as the VA. This Obamacare and Immigration debacle has made for some strange bedfellows. But I guess with Obama's social policies, "strange bedfellows" is a rather obsolete term.
LA Times reports that illegal immigrants have the right to work in the United States. So after the Democrats have fought Right to Work laws for decades, now they have bought off on Right to Work Nation. I guess I go that backwards: someone else bought it; the Democrats are the ones who gotpaid for it. Did the unions sign off on this? What about those who have lost their jobs due to Obamacare? Don't they have a right to work? Or does this only work for those willing to work for less?
It ought to be harder to get into the United States from Mexico than it is to get on an airplane at the airport. We're not there yet, but I think that is the direction we should be moving. We might try putting TSA on the Mexican boarder. I imagine they would get a kick out of patting down all these children.
