Nothing new. FDR set pay for CCC and other make-work projects based on which state you were in. Those in battleground states were paid up to 7 TIMES those in reliable Blue states. Obama has been following FDR's playbook since day one, so it's no surprise that he's now buying votes as FDR did. And I remember the 1980 election. The mayor of Chicago (a dem) was constantly berating Carter's performance - until Jimmy showed up with a big check, compliments of the country's taxpayers. Suddenly the mayor made a 180. I wasn't surprised, just disgusted.

WASHINGTON - It should be well known by now that President Obama holds the all-time, blockbuster records on federal spending, budget deficits and debt.

In less than four years, the cost of the government's annual budget has soared to nearly $4 trillion, exceeding the Treasury's tax revenue by well over a trillion dollars a year. The result: four consecutive years of trillion dollar-plus deficits have piled $5 trillion onto the nation's debt. That debt is now at $16 trillion and climbing.
