It isn't just "stuff" that matters more now, it is the individual is no longer important. The "common good" is what is most important, whatever "common good" really means. Friends of mine from China said that the individual has little value there too. I keep saying that the Obama administration seems more and more like Maoist China with its persecution of those that disagree (gets labeled racist or stupid), class warfare, led by cult figure, etc. Of what consequence are 4 American lives in Benghazi from the Maoist perspective?

UPDATE: During Clinton's testimony in front of the House Armed Services Committee Wednesday afternoon, Reps. Dana Rohrabacher, Matt Salmon and Mo Brooks mentioned the anti-Islam film originally blamed for the attack. Clinton danced around the subject by saying the investigation into what happened in Benghazi is ongoing. The best exchange was between Clinton and Brooks:
