Proving once again the nine divine are nothing more than political tools.
America should be quite proud we have VOLUNTEERS who are willing to risk everything to support this country's goals wherever and whatever they are at any time, in any place and in any conditions.
Agreed. Partisanship is decried by the losing team in most elections. Where was her stance on partisanship when the Dem's were cramming health care down our collective throats? A system clearly NOT desired or wanted by a majority of the population-at-large.
Well, I guess that's one way of reaching across the aisle. The Dem's have played this card in the past by padding numbers for a candidate they know cannot beat President Obama. Nothing new here except the fact that a Republican is actually asking for Democrat assistance. Rick, you've sunk to a new low.
Let's hope the GOP doesn't implode during the very bloody primary process and the president gets sent home to Chicago.
Fluke is very typical of the mindset displayed by the youth and youthful today. I'm sure liberals have a plan. They'll offer 13 weeks of free condoms...Which will turn into 26 weeks...then 52 weeks...then 99 weeks. Then again, it might be worth it if she does not procreate. Keeping another liberal from being born is a good thing, right?
Katie, As an enlisted retiree I have to admit my health care coverage is dirt cheap. Doubling or tripling for retirees is not unreasonable because it has been static for years. The example given in the article of a Colonel having to pay $2000/yr (about $167/mo) is peanuts compared to any civilian counterpart. Health care from my wife's job would cost us $400-500 per month but we don't need it because we have TRICARE. TRICARE is a great deal for retirees but it just might be time to increase premiums. I just do not agree with the premise that we are paying too much. Best regards, E-7 Retiree

But I must have been drinking the Democratic kool-aid that day because every politician of every district between links would create their own personal train depot shrine along the way to bring home the bacon. This would destroy the high-speed portion of any such rail line.

Rail had its heyday about 150-100 years ago. Cargo is king with rail and it should stay that way. I advocated true high speed rail links between major cities of 400-500 miles or more (without ridiculous stops in every Mayberry or Hooterville along the way). This would eliminate the need for flights but only increase the time by a couple hours. A 150mph train between Cleveland and Chicago, for example, would make the trip in 3 hours. Flights take 1 hour but the time for security, boarding, flight time, deplaning, baggage claim increase that to over 3 hours in most cases. They'd be less prone to weather delays or cancellations. I must have been a fool because every politician wants to be able to say to their constituency
Matthews cannot help himself. He's a die-hard liberal who would love to see anyone conservative locked up in internment or re-education camps. It bothers him that conservatives manage to graduate from institutions of the US education system yet still cling to conservative opinions. How does this happen?
